Do this BEFORE you get pregnant

There are so many information out there these days and it can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to think ahead and make sure you're doing the right thing for your future baby.

If you're a woman and you've been to the doctor's office, you might have been unknowingly asked to get your thyroid checked. Yet afterwards, you were either told 1) nothing or 2) that everything was alright or 3)we need to get your TSH up/down because it looks like a problem "Probably Levothyroxine"

To prepare your body to be healthy (not only for the baby) is a priority and beneficial for your health now and in the future, well into your "grandma" years. Therefore, knowing the status of your body on HOW it's functioning versus until it's not functioning too well is the first step.

It may not be common sense, but "Healthy parents make Healthy babies"

and this is why it's so important to make sure that not only your thyroid is functioning, but the rest of your endocrine system as well.

Now, if you've been diagnosed with the conditions in relation to your thyroid, there are ways to overcome it despite it may feel like a "forever-sentence." According to the American Thyroid Association, "Both subclinical hypothyroidism and overt hyperthyroidism in mothers in pregnancy were associated with increased risk of autism spectrum disorders in children. Low thyroid hormone level in mothers was associated with increased risk of ADHD in children. Because the frequency of ASD and ADHD is generally low and thyroid hormone levels are not routinely checked in pregnant women, it is difficult to study the potential relationship between thyroid dysfunction in the mother and these diagnoses in children. "

There are multi-factors to these conditions, but if there's a way to promote health to make sure we have healthy babies, would this be something you'd like to prepare for?
